| Résumé: | Recently, subtitles have become popular in the Arab world because of the interest of Arab viewers in foreign TV and cinema works. It is noted that comedy series are the most popular among viewers, as they are a source of entertainment and stress relief. However, subtitling humor is not an easy matter, as it is a difficult and complex subject due to the cultural and social differences between the source language and the target language, and since the majority of people are looking for applications that are available without errors, we analyzed and compared excerpts from the Friends series for two applications Netflix and Hdo box to find out what is the best application for watching movies and series, focusing on the strategies that the translator uses and what are the difficulties and errors that he faces. |
