Résumé: Teacher burnout is a significant issue within the educational sector, characterized by psychological exhaustion due to prolonged work stress. This dissertation focuses on the challenges faced by first-year EFL teachers at Abu Bakr Belkaied University of Tlemcen, particularly in managing large class sizes. The research aims to identify these challenges and suggest strategies to mitigate them, thereby improving teacher well-being and instructional effectiveness. Data were collected through observations and questionnaire surveys involving first-year EFL teachers, inspectors, and headmasters. The findings reveal that managing large classes presents several difficulties, such as maintaining student engagement, ensuring lesson comprehension, effective student grouping, and handling diverse student personalities and levels. The study concludes that employing specific strategies and techniques can help reduce these challenges, leading to better educational outcomes and a more supportive teaching environment
