dc.description.abstract | Learners’ attitude occupies an important place in the process of foreign language teaching. The kind of attitude the language students have determines to a larger extent their future success or failure. With this belief in mind, the main objective of this research work is to deeply investigate the kind of attitude third year EFL (English as Foreign Language) students at the University of Tlemcen have towards the teaching of African literature. The data yielded from the questionnaires and the semi-structured interviews were analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings of the present study revealed that the students had a strongly positive attitude towards the teaching of African literary texts. This attitude was mainly attributed to the cultural familiarity they had experienced when interacting with this kind of literature. | en_US |
