dc.description.abstract | This study addresses the issue of untranslatability in literary translation from English to Arabic in Khaled Hosseini's novel "The Kite Runner." The phenomenon of untranslatability is one of the most significant issues in the field of translation. This term is used to refer to the impossibility or difficulty of translation. This study is based on a comparative analytical approach and concludes that untranslatability manifests in various forms, especially in literary texts. Translators encounter vocabulary and terms closely tied to the culture and social context of the original text, forcing them to resort to different translation strategies such as borrowing, literal translation, equivalence, etc. This phenomenon requires the translators to continuously adapt and familiarize themselves with these strategies to achieve an accurate and acceptable translation. | en_US |
