The language of banking as a language for specific purposes, stands from the general language by a set of criteria, and its meaning is linked to its linguistic usage in banks. This study aims to reveal the terminology in general and the specificity of banking terms in particular. Since banking language does not handle the term and its position in the same way as other specialized languages, the translator cannot simply consult on using the dictionary to find an equivalence, he is therefore required to meticulously highlight the coherence between the source text and the target text. We attempted to examine the techniques of translating banking terms at the Dubai Islamic Bank, which is characterized by its Islamic aspect, providing banking services compliant with Sharia law, characterized by the free interest.en_US
