Résumé: | The undertaken research investigation is a scientific dissertation conducted in the field of TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in general and ESP (English for Specific Purposes) in particular. Due to the globalization process, English has become the language of wide communication par excellence and good language mastery has become vital to scientific research and development. The direct educational outcome of the globalization process in Algeria resulted in the implementation of the LMD system to join the Anglo-Saxon model but here too the Algerian context was not been taken into consideration. Therefore, the study involved was a sequence of qualitative and quantitative data comprehending definitions, reflections and a needs analysis directed to students of first year LMD system at the Science Economic Faculty in order to gather information about hinges and deficiencies in the teaching/learning process that result in a rather negative outcome. The piece of research has finally resulted by some recommendations about the new techniques used in language teaching/learning. The investigator has also ended the work by the design of a sample course in order to cope with student’s needs to achieve the requested linguistic performance. |
