Résumé: The aim of this thesis is to study the water pollution removal upon a photocatalytic treatment in a heterogeneous environment. The objective was the synthesis of two types of supports TiO2 and CeO2 doped by noble metals (Au, Ag and Pt). The results showed that the structural and textural properties of these synthesized materials depend on the nature of the support but also on the doping metal. These catalytic materials have been used in the photodegradation of methyl orange. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated under UV irradiation. The results obtained showed that the degradation of methyl orange depends on the nature of the support but also on the doping metal; the highest photocatalytic activity was obtained by Pt/TiNPs with a total removal of the pollution within 30 min. The catalyst Au/CeNTs also revealed a significant activity exceeding 98% for the degradation of methyl orange under UV irradiation. In addition, this catalyst is very stable after five cycles of reuse which makes it a potential candidate for the remediation of real wastewater.
